Need something to do with the kids for Memorial Day Weekend?

Let me help you plan out your long week-end of pure family fun!  Here are a few kid-friendly fun happenings to consider in the South Jersey and Philadelphia areas:

Friday – May 27th

Take a day trip to NJ State Museum in Trenton, NJ.  Generation Fit Exhibition is geared towards making an impact on childhood obesity.  With a variety of hands-on components and incremental exercise challenges, this exhibition will sure keep the kids movin’. Discovery Den is also another win for the small kids.  The kids will be able to explore natural history through playtime.

Children 12 and under: Free

Saturday – May 28th

The Camden Children’s Garden is hosting their Fit & Fun Celebration on both Saturday and Sunday.  This event will highlight easy and fun ideas for a healthy lifestyle, with a focus on simple physical activities and nutritious eating. The celebration will include crafts, a veggie make-n-take planting activity and educational activities that support healthy living.

General Admission: $8

Guests 2 & Under: Free

Sunday – May 29th

Wanna BBQ with your favorite Sesame Street® friends?  Sesame Street® is hosting their Memorial Day BBQ on May 28 – 30.  Yes, the price is a little steep but it is totally worth it and the kids will absolutely enjoy it!  This is an ADD-ON reservation and a general admission ticket must be purchased for entry as well.  On Saturday and Sunday nights at 9PM, there will also be a FREE Memorial Day fireworks show – entry into the park closes 5 minutes before start of show.

Adult (10+): $29 + admission

Child (2-9): $9 + admission

 23 Months and younger: FREE (no admission fee as well)
